i have seen this vehicle just bout every time i go to our vet. (weird, right, having this kind of establishment sandwiched in between a vet and a sewing boutique?!) here at the lake there are a fair number of vehicles that have either their business name and phone number stenciled on, all the way up to elaborate paint jobs that catch the eye.

we have often joked that St. Louis and the lake are the billboard capitals of the country. they are everywhere. advertising here takes on a whole new level! the current billboards sport HD pics with LED lighting. you also see the upgrade to those dazzling billboards to ones that change pictures of logos and names of businesses like watching a giant power point presentation. it is pretty crazy. no one is hesitant to advertise, to shout out who they are and what they represent. this particular vehicle seems to me, audacious in it's advertising. yes, it is because of what they are advertising.
it made me think tho. am i bold or courageous in shouting out Who's i am? do i interact with my world in such a way that there leaves no doubt that i am a child of the King? do i love others without prejudice or forethought that makes the receiver wonder in it's genuine authenticity? do i proclaim Christ fearlessly and with compassion coupled with gentleness in a manner that draws people in rather than creating ever more tension? am i willing to paint my car in a bold & bright eye-catching color combination that tells the world i am a follower of Christ?
to be honest
i am not sure
but rather i hope
that how i am living, loving & being
would you paint your vehicle?
